Social School S. Lema STO - is an educational institution founded in 1989 by the Social Educational Association, which for the first years was active as the Public High School No. 3 STO. The school has quickly achieved a very high level of education, which it maintains until today. The methods of working with the student and her undoubted educational success resulted in the fact that in 2012 the Warsaw branch of STO established another school - a gymnasium, which in the first year of its functioning was at the forefront of Polish schools. From 1 September 2017, following the reform of the education system, the primary school started its educational activities. Currently, the association runs the Primary School of Primary S. Lema STO, Social Junior High School S. Lema STO and LO, all located on the campus next to Dworzec Wileński metro station. STO schools offer a Polish core curriculum with an extended program of foreign language learning, mathematics and subjects selected by students themselves. They provide individualization of the teaching process, which includes both particularly gifted students and students with educational problems - with symptoms of dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia or with Asperger syndrome. It is possible thanks to the low-class classes, which do not exceed 12 pupils in early school education (grades 1-3), and from class IV to high school - 16. Additionally, when learning languages, classes are divided into groups. The school puts a special emphasis on language education - children and youth learn primarily English, which is taught 4 hours a week already in grades I-IV of the primary school, and 5 hours from the 5th grade, and - to choose from - German, Spanish or French for 3 hours per week. The educational offer of STO schools, including language schools, is supplemented by interest groups, cultural days organized by the school, excursions and integration trips, exhibitions, cinemas, theaters, philharmonics and operas. For children with developmental dysfunctions, the center offers a diagnosis and re-education classes as well as psychotherapists' trainings tailored to their individual needs.
