Little Academy Bilingual kindergarten - "your toddler will be fluent in English," reads the slogan on the kindergarten website and I have to admit that it can be true. The 4-year bilingualism program implemented by the kindergarten makes full use of the children's natural ability to learn a language. At this stage of development, the child learns languages intuitively, contextually, without learning the grammar, just like a mother tongue. The condition is first of all to ensure constant contact with the language being taught. And this is how LA is - children have this contact for 8 hours a day, during which they learn and play under the guidance of teachers certified by the British Council, and only spend the remaining time with a Polish-speaking teacher. LA carries out its own program, which combines the content of pre-school education British Council Early Years Plus with the requirements of the Polish core curriculum, thanks to which it prepares children for further education to study in an English-speaking school (American, British or Canadian) and Polish. Learning English is primarily learning through play. During the classes, children sing, dance, tell stories, do manual work, and at the same time learn about English art and literature, learn pronunciation, rhyme, narrative, develop motor skills, social skills and increase intercultural awareness. In working with children, the kindergarten uses elements of Montessori pedagogy, eg by implementing the Little Explorers Program. As part of many activities, children learn to prepare meals, organize theater performances, meet interesting people and excursions. They can also take part in ceramic and art classes, learn Egurrol's dance or play the piano.
