IES was founded in 2003. One of its main aims is to educate students to be good citizens of a united Europe and prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. Its educational system is based on the Christian European tradition and humanistic values. Located in a modern, beautiful campus in the Warsaw district of Wilanów, it offers all levels of education: preschool, elementary, middle, and high school. It follows the curricula of the Polish Ministry of National Education and the British Ministry. In middle and high school, IES offers a British Baccalaureate (IGCSE and the Advanced Level), and at the high school level it offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). Its main languages of instruction are English and Polish, but students can also learn foreign languages, such as French, German, Spanish, Italian, as well as their mother tongue. IES has an exchange program with other international schools throughout the school year and during holidays.
