The Montessori Academy in Pruszcz Gdanski - is a private non-public primary school that has recently proposed bilingual education and individualization of the teaching process. During recruitment, he clearly indicates that he will provide children with comprehensive, stress-free development in a safe environment, but on condition that the concept of school work is fully accepted. This in turn stems directly from the teachings of Maria Montessori, who not only developed a coherent system of upbringing and education of a child from birth to adulthood, but also assigned him the way to organize the school environment and the teaching process. The basic of these assumptions are three-year classes (related to the developmental phases of children), in which students learn in a common, adequately large and decorated class in which every student finds room for "own work" in peace and quiet, using specially designed "Development aids". During this work, teachers accompany him - always two, who help, guide, and mobilize to action. At the same time, they implement an educational program resulting from the guidelines of educational authorities, with the difference that in the Montessori Academy its implementation is not carried out in a linear, but flexible, and sometimes even jumping, because the child's natural predispositions and abilities - this is how it is implemented the most important postulate of Montessori pedagogy that the child learns at his own pace. At the same time, children learn English intensively - in a natural and continuous way thanks to the constant presence of an English-speaking teacher in the room during their own work. The school also has other advantages - the individualization of the teaching process and a descriptive assessment system mean that children do not compete with each other and support each other. Staying in a common room, together with older and younger children - as in a family - mobilizes them to work and quickly socializes, sensitizes to the problems of others and teaches tolerance. On the other hand, constant contact with nature - because Monetessori education does not end at the classroom and at school - the duty to care for their own surroundings, garden and animals teaches them independence and respect for the environment.
