This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Independence: We promote independence by providing campers with opportunities to tackle new challenges, make decisions on their own, and take responsibility for their actions. Through outdoor adventures and self-guided activities, campers build confidence and resilience, preparing them for future challeges
Interpersonal skills: We nurture interpersonal skills by creating an environment where campers work together on group activities, share experiences, and communicate openly. Collaborative tasks, problem-solving exercises, and campfire discussions help campers learn how to resolve conflicts, build friendships, and more.

Camp Samac, located in Oshawa, Ontario, offers co-ed summer day camps for youth aged 7–13+. Set on 166 scenic acres, the camp provides activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, and outdoor skills like fire building and orienteering. For adolescents aged 13–16+, Camp Samac offers Leadership Training and Counsellor-in-Training programs to develop personal and professional skills. Campers are dropped off between 8:30–9:00 AM, with optional extended care available. Join us for a summer of fun, adventure, and skill-building in the heart of Durham Region.
