Varieties of Summer Camps on Vancouver Island

Above, there are sports camps specializing in everything from soccer to bicycling. For young arts lovers, there are camps with musical theatre sessions and  other arts curricula. Science or technology camps include sessions on everything from robotics to STEM programs. And Vancouver Island is also home to several adventure-oriented camps, typically weeklong (or longer) overnight camps.

For kids from out of the area, attending an overnight camp on Vancouver Island is a special experience. This includes overnight bunking, campfires and late- night conversations that give kids memories that will last forever. Boys and girls build leadership, self-confidence and independence, among many other benefits of summer camp. You’ll also meet other kids from throughout the province and other parts of Canada and the United States.

Another big advantage of camp is that kids and teens who rely too heavily on screens and accustomed only to cityscapes get to experience the great outdoors. Campers get active outdoors and deepen their appreciation of the beauty of the BC outdoors. Investigate camps to get started on an adventure in learning.
