This course develops students’ understanding of the basic concepts of physics in a very hands-on way. Through a variety of projects and experiments, they will explore kinematics, forces and energy transformations, the properties of mechanical waves and sound, and electricity and magnetism. They will enhance their scientific investigation skills as they test laws of physics. In addition, they will use multiple technologies throughout the course, such as 3D modelling software and 3D printers to analyze the interrelationships between physics and technology.
Prerequisite: Science, Grade 10
The program is offered in-person at the uOttawa campus in English only.
