Ottawa School of Art, Book Art and Illustration | Ages 13 - 15

This course serves as an introduction to making your own books, art made from books and illustration meant for books. The goal for each student is to complete at least one illustration for a children’s book in ink and watercolour; make at least one blank book using techniques presented; complete at least one book-based 3d artwork and a series of five prints from a linocut. Each student will maintain an art journal for the week and beyond if they wish. Techniques and media may include markers, watercolour, collage, coloured pencil & ink.
