Visit their websiteWho are you as an organization?
Gracefield is a Christian camp which welcomes ALL youth regardless of background, beliefs or identity. We provide a supportive atmosphere in which youth can build friendships, explore the wonder and beauty of nature, develop life and outdoor skills, and consider their own perspectives and beliefs. Gracefield is certified by the Association des camps du Quebec which requires maintaining high standards for quality and safety of programs and facilities.
What do you do differently or uniquely well?
"We provide a screen-free experience, surrounded by our own mixed pine and deciduous forest on a beautiful lake. Campers can relax, explore, enjoy favourite camp activities and master new skills in a caring environment. Activities are designed to be accomplished through support and encouragement to one another. Campers participate in daily faith-based learning in which they are encouraged to participate but free to express their own opinions and explore faith at their own pace. The schedule includes traditional camps, canoe tripping, Leaders-in-Training plus a STEM and Music, Arts, Dance and Drama week. Community camp, for the entire family, is also available. "
Who are your staff and counsellors?
"Many of our staff are former campers, who had a great time at Gracefield and want to share the experience with others! Most counselors are high school or postsecondary students. Annual staff training includes techniques for guiding activities, leading groups, empowering youth, preventing bullying, and supporting people with special needs. Staff are also trained in first aid. Specialized training is required for waterfront and canoe tripping staff. "
What do families need to know about registration?
