
This monthly club is open to girls in grades 6 - 8. Students enrolled in this
program will attend seven monthly workshops and seminars led by female members
from different departments in the University, as well as a conference in May.
This program aims to engage female students in various topics in the STEM
fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Workshops start on October 4 and will run each subsequent first Saturday of
the month from October 2025 to April 2026, capped off with the Girls in STEM
Conference on May 2, 2025. This year, both workshops and the conference will
be conducted in-person. Students will experience two workshops each month. The
first workshop will start promptly at 10:00am and end at 11:15am, and the
second workshop will start at 11:45am and end at 1:00pm. Exact dates: Oct 4,
Nov 1, Dec 6, Jan 10, Feb 7, Mar 7, Apr 11 and the May 2 conference. Please note
that the materials covered in the Girls in STEM program will be separate from
standard school curriculum and pre-requisite knowledge is not required.
