About this Day Camp

This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Creativity: Ross Creek Campers will have ample opportunities to explore different art forms while collaborating with artists from down the road and around the world. Creativity is a key trait to learning to be an open, independent, and kind individual!
  • Independence: Campers will have chances to pursue creative tasks in groups and on their own and will build a sense of confidence and independence as they grow through art.

We’re gearing up for a fantastic summer full of all the arts. SummerArts Camp at Ross Creek is dedicated to fully engaging your child and giving them amazing new skills. Far more than an ordinary camp, Ross Creek gives your child all the advantages of an amazing art program with the rec and atmosphere of a camp all on an incredible site overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

At Ross Creek, we provide an amazing art week taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid! We offer programs in dance, theatre, music and art. Our youngest campers explore the theme of the week through a variety of arts, outdoor adventures, and skill development. Play and creative exploration are the hallmarks of our junior program, setting them up for a lifetime of magic and wonder.

SummerArts day camps are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm; Campers ages 7+ can add Thursday overnight as an option. Limited bussing is available on a first come basis.

July 03-07
Funky Forest!
What's that sound? It's those funky forest creatures moving to the beat! Come on down and explore the meadows and trails of Ross Creek along with new friends :) We’ll learn about our environment and make stories and art inspired by the creatures all around us!

July 10-14
Octopus' Garden
We’ll find out what it’s like to live on the ocean floor! We’ll draw inspiration from deep-sea habitats, tides and coral reefs, and discover what new and interesting animals can be found! We’ll make stories and creatures, create an artistic ocean habitat in our studio and create a costumed pageant!

July 17-21
Dynamic Dinosaurs
Step back in time with us for a week of Fossils and Fun! Junior campers will learn about all kinds of prehistoric dinos, plants, and animals, while creating an immersive world of colour, pictures, and sculptures in their studio. They’ll create costumes, performances, and even go on a dino dig!

July 24-28
The Mighty Jungle
Through stories and science, we’ll explore the creatures, cultures, and absolutely wild wonders of the world’s jungles! From Anacondas in the Amazon to Upcountry gorillas in Uganda, this will be an amazing and fun week full of songs, stories, and art! We’ll create a jungle habitat in our studio and a pageant of jungle creatures!

July 31 - Aug 04
Fables and Fairy Tales
We’ll explore stories of myth and magic from around the world in this camp. Inspired by talking tigers to dastardly dragons, we’ll be inspired to write our own fables and create a pageant of costume and movement! End of week showcase.
