Find a Camp
On the weekend of September 8-9th 2018, Wilvaken celebrated 60 years with over 200 alumni family and friends. The celebration could not have landed on a better weekend, as the weather allowed for sailboats, canoes, kayaks, windsurfers and swimmers all out on the lake! Many guests stayed overnight, sleeping in their old cabins. The evening celebrations included a campfire, with the traditional burning W on the beach, followed by a camp dance. There were songs for everyone to enjoy!
Many had not been at Wilvaken in several years, and there were alumni from across the ages. People came in from all across Canada, the United States as well as internationally such as the United Kingdom, Spain, and Mexico. What a success! Memories were shared, and more memories were made as the Owner-Directors Maya and Dave also celebrated their daughter's role as Co-Director the past three years. It seems as though reunions will have to be held more often! There were too many photos to look at and stories to share before the weekend was over.
