This recognition highlights the organization's unwavering dedication to closing the equity gap in education by expanding access to high-quality education and empowering youth from all backgrounds to reach their full potential.
Now as a Canadian registered charity, Park Street Education can further its mission of providing life-changing opportunities through education. The organization now gains access to new avenues of financial and programmatic support, enabling it to broaden its reach across Canada and enhance its educational programs.
Established with the vision of creating a world where every kid has equitable opportunities to thrive in and out of the classroom, Park Street Education has been at the forefront of empowering students and educators alike. By offering innovative programs and resources, the organization has consistently fostered a culture of educational excellence and inclusivity, so no kid is left behind.
"Park Street Education was born out of a desire to close the gap in education for underserved kids whose education was further compromised because of the global pandemic. Three years and over 600 kids later, Park Street has seen the impact our after-school virtual programming has had on students whose education – and future - may have been permanently imperiled,” said Carol Clarke, Development Manager at Park Street Education. “We have metrics that reveal that after only 3 months of after-school programming, 83% of our students are motivated to do better with their studies. With the advent of achieving our charitable status, this former non-profit is now able to scale our success by being eligible for funding streams that will enable us to pursue National scope, and change the landscape of education for students across Canada, regardless of geographic constraints or socioeconomic disparities."
