Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie visited our state of the art mobile STEM lab recently and expressed her admiration of the unique STEM learning environment and technology tools that Innova STEM provides to school students. The Mayor toured the lab which is currently located at Olive Grove school in Mississauga and is being used to deliver a pioneering integrated STEM program aligned with Ontario science and technology curriculum. This pioneering STEM program started at the School in 2016 with the goal of integrating project-based STEM learning to engage students in real-world topics by fostering students’ skills in collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and design thinking while addressing curriculum standards. This year, Innova STEM has extended its services to include after-hours programs open to all K-12 students in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Brampton. Innova STEM offers specialized programs in Mechatronics, Robotics, video game design, computer programming, 3D Design & Printing and Internet of Things (IOT).
