This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create
  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together!

This is a drawing fundamentals class. Learn to draw portraits, still life, people wearing various types of clothing, animals and landscape. Develop your skills in shading, perspective, light source and understand how to look at a reference, plan your composition and use space effectively in your artwork. This is a class for 8-12 year old children who really want to get better at drawing or develop their beginner skills. Nima will teach with references and will assist with step-by-step instruction while allowing students to explore a planned list of subjects and categories to ensure a good variety of practice and an understanding of process. All materials are included.
