Camp Tournesol

I am honoured to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Camp Tournesol, succeeding our esteemed founder, Martine Brouillet. Martine’s dedication over the past two decades has been instrumental in establishing Camp Tournesol as a leader in French summer camps across the Greater Toronto Area. Her passion for French education and commitment to creating engaging, immersive experiences have left an indelible mark on countless campers and their families.

As we embark on this new chapter, I am excited to share some of the enhancements we have planned for our programs, all while upholding the core values that have defined Camp Tournesol since its inception. Our mission remains steadfast: to provide a nurturing environment where all children can develop their French language skills through fun and interactive activities

What’s New?

• Expanded Program Offerings: We are introducing new themed weeks, such as “Harry Potter Wizarding World” and “Rock Star Boot Camp,” designed to captivate our campers’ imaginations and make learning French an adventure.
• Enhanced Program Streams: We’ve refined our program streams to better support campers of all French proficiency levels. Whether your child is in French Immersion, Core French, or a Francophone program, our tailored camps provide engaging, level-appropriate activities that help them develop confidence and fluency while having fun.
• Water Days Are Back: One of the most cherished traditions at Camp Tournesol is making a splash—literally! This year, we are excited to bring back water days spent at local splash pads. These outings not only provide relief from the summer heat but also create joyful memories for our campers as they bond with friends and counsellors in a fun and refreshing setting.
• Expanding Across Ontario: We are thrilled to announce plans to expand Camp Tournesol to more communities across Ontario. By growing our footprint, we aim to provide even more families with access to our unique French language programs. Whether it’s through new camp locations or partnerships with local organizations, we’re committed to bringing the Camp Tournesol experience to as many children as possible.

While we embrace these exciting changes, the essence of Camp Tournesol remains unchanged. Our dedicated team of dynamic and engaging French-speaking counsellors continues to create a nurturing atmosphere that naturally motivates our campers to speak French. We are committed to maintaining the high standards of safety, inclusivity, and fun that have been the hallmark of our camps.

I am thrilled to lead Camp Tournesol into this new era and look forward to building upon the strong foundation that Martine has established. Together with our talented team, I am committed to providing your children with memorable experiences that foster a love for the French language and culture.
