This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Curiosity: UC Reach to Achieve tutoring promotes a love of learning. Students feel that they have a say in their own educational journey, and this promotes creative learning and decision making.
Self-regulation: The ability to mix mental stimulation with fun is instilled by incorporating moments of engaging education with fun camp activities.

The UC Reach to Achieve tutoring program is designed to help kids continue their education throughout the summer and prepare them for the school year ahead. Kids ages 3-6 receive tutoring from Montessori-trained teachers who utilize early childhood education methods to provide a fun and personalized learning experience. Students aged 7-13 receive tutoring from OCT-qualified teachers who are experts in the Ontario curriculum and what will be expected in each student’s year ahead. This program has weekly enrolment, and can run for 3 or 5 days. Parents can also opt for a half day of camp and a half day of tutoring. Math: Math and arithmetic skills for the school year ahead will be taught to tutoring students. For students who need to catch up, teachers will meet them at the level they are currently at and move forward from there.

Languages: Writing, reading, and comprehension skills are taught by passionate educators, improving student performance and preventing summer learning loss. English as a Second Language (ESL) programming is also available.
