At PortPrep we are so eager to get back to offering in person classes and camps for students who love drawing and animation! We have come up with a way to keep student safe and engaged with our new in-person/on-line hybrid day camps for our youth art camps! We understand that your kids are excited to get back to in person learning and getting away from their computer screens!
When the Ontario Government made the annoucement that summer camps would be allowed to open this summer after all we were so excited at the possibility of offering our interactive creativity camps in person again!
For students in the age range of 11 to 15, we are offering some indoor/outdoor art camps and some hybrid virtual/in-person day camps for local students only. We have cancelled all overnight residential camps for 2021.
We understand that not all parents will feel comfortable to send their kids to camps this summer without being fully vaccinated. You may be looking for activities to keep your creative teen engaged from the safety of home for a little while longer. For this reason we have made the bulk of our programs available as virtual camps and have cancelled all overnight residential camps. Since portfolio art, animation and architecture camps for highschool seniors are all focused on drawing in such a focused way that the activities must be carried out indoors, we are offering all of those camps virtually.
We have found that our instruction methods keep students engaged and able to learn while having creative fun from the safety of their own homes. PortPrep specializes in online education throughout the year for international students and can easily guide your teen in the art of animation and architecture via online virtual instruction methods. This is a fantastic opportunity to keep the budding artists in your home engaged throughout the pandemic by focusing on their love of creating.
For campers that are looking for in person art and animation camps we are opening registration to kids who have received at least their first vaccination or are fully vaccinated. All students, instructors and camp helpers will be required to wear masks and socially distance. PortPrep will be offering it's programming in an indoor/outdoor venue to allow for maximum air flow and social distancing. Contact our summer camp director, Karen Kesteloot, for more information.
