On the banks of the Clyde River, Camp Cherith Lanark is a co-ed Christ-centred camp. What’s unique about this camp is that it puts Jesus Christ at the forefront while teaching campers to love and take care of one another. This camp is all about inner growth and trusting in God to help nurture healthy relationships and a positive self image. It is also a skills-based camp, with too many activities to mention, but among the most popular are archery, photography, music, and kayaking. There is a huge emphasis on leadership and developing future leaders, so campers do come back as counselors for younger campers. The entire staff is of different generations, starting from volunteers at age 16. Kids are changed by their experiences at Camp Cherith Lanark. The beauty of the property is a large part of the appeal, where kids can feel at peace. As a new camp, Camp Cherith Lanark is still developing its program and traditions, but it has already done this in a special way.
