This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Creativity: Students develop creativity by collaborating on contemporary musical theatre material, exploring character choices, and shaping original staging ideas within a fully produced work. They are encouraged to take artistic risks and contribute unique perspectives to the creative process.
Resilience: Students build resilience through advanced training, rehearsals, and performance demands in a fast-paced production environment. They learn to adapt quickly, receive feedback, refine their work, and stay focused and confident while working toward a fully staged musical theatre production.

New Musical Theatre Intensives provides innovative, advanced musical theatre training for young artists. Through producing contemporary musical theatre productions, we challenge and educate young artists to develop and grow their skills. Students will work with an outstanding artistic team, talented peers, and develop friendships, all while building invaluable skills through working on a fully-staged production.

Bravo Academy is committed to diverse and inclusive casting and our facilities and stage are fully accessible. We encourage submissions from all passionate young artists between 14-19 yrs who are looking for an incredible experience, and are ready for the challenge of bringing this awe-inspiring musical to life.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Complete the Audition Form, which will prompt you to submit your videos, headshot (an image that shows your face from shoulders up), resume, and artist statement.
Prepare one ballad and one uptempo selection – one should be either from the show or in the style of the show
Both selections should be from contemporary musicals (written 2000-present)
Selections should be 16-32 bars or up to 1 minute in length
Please prepare two contrasting contemporary Musical Theatre selections.

Admission via audition (applicants accepted on a rolling basis until all spots are filled)
