Read full review Wir haben uns für das Academic Summer Camp entschieden, da es eine Empfehlung von einer erfahrenen pädagogischen Auslandberatung in Deutschland war. Sie ist spezialisiert auf Schüleraustausch, Sprachreisen, Work & Travel... Auch waren alle Ausflüge ein großer Spaß und die Kombination aus Lernen und Freizeit hat das "Academic Summer Camp" perfekt abgestimmt. Besonders war das "Matsch-Camp" eine unglaubliche Erfahrung - da wäre es allerdings... Sie hat sehr viele nette Bekannschaften gemacht und hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Toll war, dass erst in der zweiten Woche ein Schüler aus Deutschland dazukam. Somit war unsere Tochter gezwungen in Englisch zu sprechen. Tol... Unsere Tochter ist definitiv nach dem Camp "gewachsen". Sich zu trauen auf einer Bühne in einer fremden Sprache zu sprechen - das hat sie herausgefordert. Aber sie wurde gut unterstützt, sodass es für sie danach ein ries... Die Kommunikation mit den Verantwortlichen war so gut, dass man es nicht besser machen kann. Wir hatten z.B. das Problem, dass wir aus Versehen das Taschengeld nach Taunton an die Bank überwiesen hatten, obwohl unsere Toch... Die Packlist war sehr gut vorbereitet. Einzig die Kleidung für den "Matschtag" hatten wir nicht vorgesehen und wäre gut gewesen diese mitzubringen. Die Kleidung konnte zwar gewaschen werden, aber ein paar alte Schuhe wär... Ich kann Academic Camp absolut empfehlen. Wenn man sich aber unsicher ist sollte man sich nicht scheuen einfach Fragen zu stellen. OUR KIDS review of Academic Summer Camps

Academic Camp Canada, as the name suggests, is an academic camp: kids attend to build competence with various aspects of the school curricula. That said, the experience goes well beyond the purely tutorial. Campers arrive from across Canada and around the world to one of the most inspiring academic environments in the country: Rothesay Netherwood School. This school's campus is somewhat of a jaw-dropper. It dates to 1874 when the brilliantly named Ezekiel Stone Wiggins founded Thompson's School, a coed day school. The school remains true to a tradition of academic excellence, and the campus is rich with reminders of its long history. It’s also the alma mater of John Peters Humphrey, primary author of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. When campers arrive at the camp, they join a community of academically-oriented peers, in a setting that celebrates the length and breadth of what education can offer. The administration and staff are top-notch, with comprehensive support provided for campers.
