GAA has raised an outstanding total of $3053 for our Jump Rope for Heart campaign! Well done to all of those that participated!
Children’s Book Bank: May 29th
Students traveled to the Toronto Children's Book Bank to deliver our school collection of books to donate to this community based organization, which operates in Regent Park as a registered charity supporting childhood literacy. Student Library helpers, volunteers and our school Librarian and Principal attended with students.
Polar Expressions Publishing Poetry and Short Story Consent Results 2017
We are thrilled to announce our three finalists in the Polar Expressions Publishing Poetry and Short Story contests! Congratulations to Christian for First Prize in Poetry (Kindergarten); Emma for Third Prize in Poetry (Kindergarten), and Second Prize to Corrigan in Short Story (Kindergarten). We are extremely proud of your hard work and efforts in creative writing! Well done!
U10 Track and Field: Wednesday May 31st
U10 students participated in the Track and Field events held at Terry Fox park in Brampton on May 31st.
Kindergarten Parents Day: Wednesday May 31st
Wednesday May 31st, 2017 was a very special day for the Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes. On this day we celebrated our parents by hosting "Parent's Day" in our classroom. Students performed a poem as well as presenting parents with a gift they worked very hard on. This day was enjoyed by teachers, students, parents, as well as aunts and grandparents who were able to join us. Thank you to all who were able to participate in this very special day.
Grade 7 History Wax Museum
The grade 7s and 8s have worked hard researching famous historical figures that had an impact on Canada's history. Classes came to visit our Wax Museum where the students brought their historical figures back to life. They created costumes, backboards and a monologue for their exhibits. Students enjoyed completing their projects and being able to present them to their fellow students! Well done Grade 7 and 8 students!
