GAA has earned its Terry Fox participation emblem for our school plaque. For our Terry Fox Run in September, Glenn Arbour raised a total of $2,149.00 for cancer research. Way to go GAA!
Chinese New Year
The grade 4 class created a Dragon to celebrate Chinese New Year! Students researched symbols online to write "Happy New Year" in Mandarin. Students even learned how to say hello so when we showed the other classes they could greet them!
Bell Let’s Talk: Wednesday February 1st
GAA recognized Bell Let’s Talk Day in order to prioritize important mental health initiatives and campaigns. Students participated in Health lessons to broaden their understandings and eliminate the stigma associated with mental health topics and conversations.
Black History Month
GAA celebrates Black History Month this February. The Grade 5 class and Student Council will be presenting facts on important Black leaders who have made a positive impact, historically and present day.
