Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week: November 14 -18th
Throughout this week, students and teachers explored the topics of bullying awareness and prevention. Each class presented pledges, skits, and posters to promote the message of inclusion, anti-bullying and acceptance. Scott Graham, founder of the Kids4Kids Leadership Program spoke to the Grades 5-8 on Monday November 14th to communicate important messages about being an up-stander and leader in the fight against bullying. H2 Crew members presented the school buddy bench, which will be in use by students during Pink Shirt Day in February. The buddy bench will be used at recess to ensure all are included and respected by their peers.
Polar Expressions
This week, students submitted their Poetry entries to the Polar Expressions Poetry contest. The contest is held across the country and invites students to share their best poetic work to publish in a special anthology, printed annually. Students in all grades worked hard to express themselves poetically!
