CSW Summer Camp Café

Online exam preparation courses at the Canadian School of Warsaw open to all Grade 6-8 students.

Encouraged by the positive feedback on the quality of online lessons provided by the CSOW team during lockdown, we decided to use our experience with the Microsoft Teams platform and conduct our Summer Camp online.

Designed and conducted by our experienced educators, our courses will be a great opportunity for students of the Canadian School of Warsaw as well as Grade 6-8 students from other schools to start working towards their academic goals before the new school year even starts.

As we understand the challenges caused by the current situation, we strive at creating courses that will provide for our students’ diverse needs. Therefore, this year we would like to invite students to our Summer Camp Café, where we serve a personalized learning experience in an enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere.

Start your day with English Espresso – a 30-minute shot of English grammar and vocabulary that will help you work on your accuracy necessary to succeed at First for Schools and the English contests in Grades 7-8.

Then crunch some numbers with a cup of Mathiato – an extensive Math course designed to help you get ready for Math competitions by analyzing tasks from previous years’ contests, learning to conduct a mathematical proof and inquiring into algebra and geometry.

If you plan to take part in the Polish contest, you just have to sign up for our Polish Poetry Pie – a course designed to teach what poetry is and what ingredients it is made with, provide tools and strategies necessary to decode and play with the figurative language of poetry.

If you still don’t feel comfortable around some chemical elements or would like to get ready for your first encounter with Chemistry in Grade 7, take a sit at our online community table and make friends with Chemical Reactions – a course designed to help students build a stronger bond with Chemistry.

Short stories might be short, but it does not mean they are easy to write. If you want to work on your writing skills, finish your day with our Literature Latte – a language and literature course, which is all about analyzing short stories – their plots, themes and their main characters’ emotional drive and purpose, so you can eventually write a short story all by yourself.
