These types of schools are ideal for students who wish to develop and expand their vocabulary, reading and writing skills in another language while in an environment where that second language is predominate and reinforces everything they are continuously learning. By the time students graduate, they are very close to if not spot on in fluency of the language.
Suzanne Majhanovich, a professor of education at the University of Western Ontario, advises that learning a second language can actually help with a child’s native language and that the younger a student learns the language the easier it is for them to pick up.

How do you know if the language school you’re looking into is the right fit for your child? It depends on your child and their strengths and weaknesses, says Susan Markle, Director of Admissions at Toronto French School. Some students may struggle to pick up the language while others have a natural knack for it.
