Since October 2020, my daughter has been receiving Intensive Behavioural Intervention, Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychological services. Through receiving these services, we have seen a tremendous positive changes in her, and couldn't be happier. She is more independent, more receptive to changes/new situations, able to regulate her emotions and is also a lot more social. She has also made great gains in her fine/gross motor skills and has made marked improvements in her writing and drawing skills. Overall, she is a happier and more confident child. I cannot thank the amazing professionals at AIM - they are so knowledgeable, friendly and I appreciate how they all collaborate in providing the best services for my child.
AIM also offers small group learning. The environment is set up like school classroom and my daughter has enjoyed interacting with her peers, practicing turn taking, participating in circle time, and learning how to follow routines. I am grateful for these small group learning opportunities to help her prepare for Kindergarten.
As we anticipate my daughter starting school for the first time this September, I can’t say how grateful I am to the staff at AIM. They have provided amazing programming and services, which have really made an impact on my child and my family. Autism in Mind is a great organization that truly seeks to better the lives of each individual that walks in through their doors. We would highly recommend this organization to others who are in need of Autism support services!
