Interview with Royal Crown School PARENT, Maria Sarri
Maria, a parent at Royal Crown School, shared her appreciation of the school, the rich opportunities for kids to pursue academic and athletic aspirations at the school, the delight her daughter takes in improving her grades, playing basketball at an elite level, and feeling welcome in the school's culturally diverse community.
Highlights from the interview
Royal Crown School focuses on supporting and preparing each student so they can attend the university or college of their choice. One of the school’s values and commitment is providing the support for every student to pursue higher education. Whether they are an international student looking to attend a local university or a basketball player wanting the U1 Scholarship, Royal Crown School will provide the necessary guidance and education for them.
My daughter is very excited to be able to follow her passions in both academics and in elite basketball. She enrolled in Royal Crown School in Grade 9. Being there has improved her basketball skills a lot since she has access to a gym and weight room daily.
In our case, the whole experience has been so satisfying that we’ve decided to send our second daughter to Royal Crown School, too, in the coming season
My daughter’s academics have improved over the four semesters she has been studying at Royal Crown School, concentrating and analyzing the contents of each course more efficiently.
Teachers have been really helpful to my daughter since they were able to present the content of the class in a way that is easy for her to keep up and succeed. She is proud of being able to raise her academics and receive great marks this school year.
What I appreciate most is the individual attention given to each student, thanks to the smaller class sizes. It's really important for everyone's needs to be noticed and considered. New families searching for a school need to consider the attention that their child is receiving. It's also important to know their kid's needs, their aspirations, as well as which school can help them get there.
I was surprised by the school’s ability to bring together children from entirely different cultures and lifestyles. The diversity is making it possible for everyone to connect and learn from each other, with their strengths and weaknesses. Kids will be able to communicate and make friends with people from other countries. All those connections would have certainly been impossible without Royal Crown School.
My daughter appreciates, most of all, her teammates for being great friends and including her as a part of the team, even though she was younger. The coaches and staff at the school have also made her feel welcome and they have provided an amazing opportunity for her, both in basketball and academically. My kid is certainly proud of being able to train and compete.
The administration office is doing an amazing job guiding parents and students through the whole process.
