Interview with Royal Crown School Alum, Ziqi Liu
Ziqi graduated from Royal Crown Academic School in 2020. She recalls that, before joining the school, she used to be shy. Now she feels that she can easily express herself. Additionally, she highlighted the extensive facilities at the school and her sense of happiness studying there. She appreciated how supportive the teachers were in helping her solve problems. She felt like she was part of a big family at Royal Crown Academic School.

What I appreciate the most about Royal Crown Academic school is being respected, understood, and encouraged. Before I went there, I was very shy, and I was afraid to express myself. But now, I'm not shy anymore.
Royal Crown teachers encourage students to express their thoughts and feelings. It doesn't matter whether you’re right or wrong. The main point is you learn something new through sharing your thoughts with your classmates or to your teacher.
If you have a problem or a question, your teacher always has patience to help you. So you don't have to feel shy to ask the teacher your questions.
The guidance teachers in Royal Crown Academic School are very good. My guidance teacher made me feel like she's like my mom. She always encouraged me to do what I wanted to do. I have a passion for science and she encouraged me to explore it more.
The Royal Crown Academic School makes me feel like I’m part of a family, a big family. So that’s what I appreciate the most in Royal Crown Academic School.
In Royal Crown Academic School, we have new and good facilities. In the school, we have a swimming area, we have sports areas, and we have an open dining hall. The students can choose their favourite food. We don’t need to bring lunch from home, which is very convenient. And the classrooms are big. I like the big classrooms, with a lot of sunshine, so it makes me feel very happy to study there. I think it's a good place for students to study.
If you have some problem or questions, the school is always happy to solve it. They do that patiently and with respect.
The thing that connects the students at this school is their dream. We all want to go to a good university or good college after we graduate from high school. So the teachers in Royal Crown Academic School want their students to achieve their dream.
My parents and I felt like the school considered things from our perspective, not just from their perspective. I think this is good for other students and parents to consider.
Based on my experience in high school, I can now balance my studying time and my free time. Before, I may just focus on studying for one whole day, which caused me to be super exhausted at night. But now I know that I can study for several hours and take a break.
We have a really good basketball team at the school. So, I’d say to parents, if your child wants to be a basketball player, they can join this school.
I also want to emphasise, again, the good quality of the teachers. The group of teachers at Royal Crown Academic School is super good. You can learn whatever you want to learn. And you can learn extra stuff, if you’re interested.
