Equal emphasis is placed on a balance of priorities: intellectual, emotional, social and physical cultivation.
    Intellectual
The goal is to cultivate "academically strong, creative and critical thinkers, capable of exercising rationality, apprehending truth, and making aesthetic distinctions."

    Curriculum pace

    Standard-enriched
Broadly-speaking, the main curriculum -- like that of most schools -- paces the provincially-outlined one. This pace is steady and set by the teachers and school. The curriculum might still be enriched in various ways: covering topics more in-depth and with more vigor than the provincial one, or covering a broader selection of topics.

    Academic culture

    Supportive
A school with a “supportive” academic culture focuses more on process than short-term outcomes: academic performance is a welcomed side-benefit, but not the driving focus. This does not mean the school lacks standards, or has low expectations for its students: a school can have a supportive academic culture and still light the fire of ambition in its students. It does mean, however, the school provides a less intensive culture than schools with a “rigorous” academic classification, and is focused more simply on instilling a love of learning and life-long curiosity.

    Preschool/K curriculum

    Academic
Academic-based preschools and Kindergartens are the most structured of the different types, and have a strong emphasis on math and reading readiness skills. These programs aim to expose children to what early-elementary school is like. While time is still allotted to free play, much of the day is built around explicit lessons guided by the teacher. Classrooms often resemble play-based ones (with different stations set up around the room), but at an Academic program the teacher leads students through the stations directly, and ties these activities to a whole-class lesson or theme.
    Waldorf
Highly group-oriented and with a strong emphasis on creative and imaginative play, Waldorf preschool and Kindergarten programs have very little to no emphasis on academics. A Waldorf environment will often feel more like a home than a traditional classroom -- the goal being to instill comfort and and a sense of predictability in students’ day. This emphasis on comfort and predictability also manifests through a heavy use of repetition: for example, teachers might read the same story multiple days in a row. Waldorf schools ask parents to refrain from offering children TV or computers at home, and aim to develop in children a connection to the natural world. Our Take

    Our Take

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

SJA, notably an IB World School in Mississauga, offers the entire IB continuum for their students: PYP, MYP, and DP. Being a JK to Grade 12 school, families feel confident in knowing their child is at a school that will support them for their whole educational journey. St. Jude’s Academy emphasizes education as its core value, along with student life engagements, and athletics. SJA prides itself in encouraging its students to be global learners, communicators, and citizens; promoting diversity and inclusivity. The SJA culture is commonly described as “familial,” as their close-knit community thrives in encouraging one another for growth and success. SJA stands out in many ways as education is taken far beyond the classroom. Although students actively take part in their scheduled exams and class time, learning at SJA also happens through local and national field trips, student life activities, and more.

What do you do differently and uniquely well?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"SJA was the first in Mississauga to offer a continuum of education for students aged 3 to 19. Our students’ experience, their stride and their goals will be helped by the care and expertise of faculty and staff. SJA offers a unique education experience that goes beyond academics and provides a careful balance of Student Life. This careful balance has proven to provide lasting, influential and significant changes in the lives of our students."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Vancouver Waldorf School offers a developmentally appropriate, experiential, and academically rigorous approach to education. To enhance and enrich learning, arts are integrated with all academic disciplines from preschool through twelfth grade. Waldorf education aims to inspire life-long learning in all students and enable them to fully develop their unique capacities. The principles of Waldorf education evolve from an understanding of human development that addresses the needs of the growing child.

The curriculum is not simply made up of subjects to be read about and tested—they are experienced. Through these experiences, Waldorf students cultivate their intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual capacities to be individuals certain of their paths and be of service to the world."

What tradeoffs has your school made to serve families in this way?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"Our commitment to doing what is best for the student means that we do not automatically conform to the trends of other schools (like using semesters, which are proven to hinder students).
Our commitment to having our teachers really know the students means that teachers need to go above and beyond class time.
Our commitment to resourcefulness and keeping costs low means that we have to get creative in facilities and partnerships to give families more for less.
Our commitment to critical thinking means that we don’t get carried away with one side of a cultural issue or trend.
Our commitment to nonconformity means that our staff and students have to focus on what really matters versus satisfying people’s perceptions.
Our commitment to responsibility means that we risk turning people away who do not want to take ownership of their successes and failures."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"At Vancouver Waldorf School, our strategic tradeoffs reflect a deep commitment to holistic education over conventional metrics of academic success. We prioritize creative and experiential learning, which sometimes means less emphasis on technology integration and standardized testing. This approach fosters deep thinkers and lifelong learners but may differ from more traditional schools focused on frequent technological use and test scores. Our choice to focus on arts, practical skills, and personal development ensures our students are well-rounded, empathetic, and equipped to meet diverse challenges rather than merely excelling in a test-driven environment. These decisions shape a school culture that values individual growth and community connection over competitive achievement."

What key junctures in your school's history have most shaped its present?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

    Information not available

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Vancouver Waldorf School’s story began in 1967 when three families in West Vancouver shared a vision for Waldorf education. By 1969, a kindergarten was established, and in 1971, the school officially opened with 12 students. A significant expansion occurred in 1981 with the launch of high school programs, allowing students to continue their Waldorf education through adolescence.

In 1976, the school relocated to its current North Vancouver locations, solidifying its presence in the community. The 1990s saw further growth with the construction of new classrooms, and in 2005, a new early childhood center was added to serve the needs of a growing community. The school has since expanded its cultural footprint, with the Festival of the Arts and other seasonal events becoming key traditions.

As we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2021, these milestones reflect our enduring commitment to providing a holistic education that nurtures the whole child."

    Array

What type of student is a good fit for your school?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"• Families and students who are looking for the best, IB education.
    • Families and students who want to start and finish their entire JK-Grade 12 IB education at the same school.
    • Families who want their children to feel cared for, listened to and respected.
    • Families who are tired of the social agendas that replace learning in public schools.
    • Families who can recognize exceptional values.
    • Students who are looking for teachers and staff who personalize their approach toward their learning.
    • Families who embrace traditional values like hard work and responsibility.
    • Families who live in the northwestern GTA, especially Mississauga and surrounding areas.
    • Families and students who like to think outside of the box, challenge conventional thinking and take risks.
    • Students who are looking for elite sports experiences."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Vancouver Waldorf School is best suited for students and families who value a holistic education that emphasizes intellectual, emotional, and creative development. Ideal students are those curious about the world, eager to engage in hands-on learning, and open to exploring their artistic and academic abilities in a cooperative environment. Our approach resonates deeply with families who prioritize personal growth, cultural richness, and environmental consciousness over just pure competitive academic achievements. Parents who support a delayed introduction to digital technology and favour a curriculum that integrates arts, music, and movement will find our school aligns well with their educational goals. Families seeking a tight-knit community that nurtures mutual respect, collaboration, and individuality will see their children flourish here."

    Array

Under what conditions would you advise a family against choosing your school?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"• SJA won’t be a good fit for parents who do not want to partner with a school to give their child the instruction and guidance they need to succeed.
    • SJA won’t be a good fit for parents who are not willing to participate and be engaged in their child’s education, who see themselves as consumers more than members.
    • SJA won’t be a good fit for parents and students who don’t embrace a holistic approach to education, seeing every part of their SJA experience as working toward the same goal."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Vancouver Waldorf School may not be the ideal choice for families seeking a traditional education model focused on standardized testing and competitive academic ranking. Our curriculum emphasizes holistic development over test scores, which might not align with the priorities of those who prefer a more conventional academic structure. Additionally, our approach includes a deliberate reduction in early technology use, which may not suit families who value early digital literacy as a core component of schooling. Our community-oriented and collaborative environment may also differ from expectations for families looking for highly structured, discipline-focused educational settings. If a family prioritizes a rigid and technology-intensive curriculum, they may find that our emphasis on arts, creativity, and social development does not meet their specific educational goals."

    Array

To your knowledge, why do families choose your school over others?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"SJA provides unparalleled value in the private, IB school category. Exceptional teaching, positive student life atmosphere, variety of opportunity and elite athletics are all offered at a competitive price. 100% of our graduates go on to attend the university of their choice. Furthermore, as parents often note, “There’s a different energy here.” Our staff have succeeded in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where every student feels a strong sense of belonging. Families that connect with SJA stick with SJA because they and their children are treated as individuals by our staff. Finally, St. Jude's Academy administration is a strong, unified and committed group who take pride in the school and strive to make it better every day. We are passionate about growing a school that families can be proud of. That difference can be seen and felt."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Families choose Vancouver Waldorf School for its holistic approach that nurtures the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Our balanced curriculum integrates arts, practical skills, and academics, fostering creativity and critical thinking. Parents value our minimal early exposure to technology and a strong emphasis on experiential learning, offering a hands-on educational experience.

The school’s close-knit community and commitment to individualized attention are also key reasons families prefer us. They appreciate the nurturing environment where each child is supported and encouraged to explore their passions. Our philosophy of meeting children at their developmental stage, combined with our focus on community and environmental stewardship, distinguishes us from traditional schools, making us the top choice for those seeking a well-rounded, alternative education."

    Array

How would you characterize your school's image amongst the public?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"• The first private school in Mississauga to have the IB Continuum program.
    • Steady growth.
    • Always improving.
    • Largest private school in northern Mississauga.
    • Quickest to adapt to unforeseen contingencies.
    • Problem-solvers who overcome all challenges.
    • 100% university acceptance.
    • Longest tenured owner.
    • Respected, US-style athletics.
    • Pioneers in IB: Our DP Coordinator first brought the IB Program to the Peel Region.
    • Leaders in IB: Our Head of School has been on the IBSO Board (International Baccalaureate Schools of Ontario) since 2015."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Vancouver Waldorf School is widely recognized for its commitment to a holistic educational philosophy that integrates intellectual, emotional, and creative development. In the public eye, our school is most prominently seen as a nurturing environment that emphasizes the growth of the whole child — head, heart, and hands — rather than focusing solely on academic achievements. This reputation is underpinned by our distinctive approach that incorporates arts, crafts, music, and movement into everyday learning, supporting students to develop a balanced set of skills and values. Our emphasis on minimal use of technology in early education and the development of critical thinking and social skills through collaborative and experiential learning are attributes that resonate in our community. This image aligns closely with our identity as a school that prepares well-rounded individuals who are ready to contribute thoughtfully and creatively to society."

    Array

What aspect of your school is underappreciated?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"In the caring and vibrant SJA community, students are motivated and guided to take ownership of their intellectual and moral growth and develop the self-esteem and courage. At St. Jude's Academy they will need to deal successfully with the challenges and opportunities that high school and university hold. It is the only school that has a n educational experience designed to inspire and challenge students."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"An often underappreciated aspect of Vancouver Waldorf School is our commitment to fostering strong interpersonal relationships and community engagement. While our holistic educational approach is well-known, the depth of our community involvement—from local environmental projects to cultural festivals—may not be fully recognized for its impact. This engagement not only enriches the student experience but also cultivates a sense of social responsibility and connectedness that extends beyond the classroom. Families may see these activities but might not fully appreciate how they enhance learning outcomes and develop well-rounded, empathetic individuals who are prepared to actively participate in and contribute to their communities."

    Array

What might families find surprising about your school?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"At SJA, the student really does come first above everything else, and it is evident. Our decision-making begins with the question, “Is it good for the student?” The faculty and staff go above and beyond every day to prioritize students’ development of academics, confidence, strong work ethic, independence and effective learning habits. This personalized approach, delivered in the parameters of the IB programme and in the context of a caring and vibrant community, creates highly motivated students who take ownership of their success."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"One aspect of Vancouver Waldorf School that might surprise families is the intensity and depth of our academic rigor, which is often masked by our strong emphasis on arts and holistic development. While many initially perceive our school as primarily arts-focused, they soon discover that our curriculum robustly integrates traditional academic subjects with artistic and practical skills in a way that deeply enhances understanding and retention. This balanced approach not only fosters creativity but also cultivates a high level of intellectual engagement and critical thinking. Families are often pleasantly surprised to find that their children develop a strong foundation in sciences, mathematics, and humanities, complemented by their artistic and practical achievements, leading to a well-rounded and comprehensive education that prepares students exceptionally well for higher education and beyond."

    Array

What improvements or changes has your school made recently?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"We have continued to grow steadily at SJA. We have brought in many international IB educators to enhance our IB education. We have added new teachers to accommodate our growth. We have increased our presence on social media as a means of increasing communication and school spirit. We have added new marketing and communications staff. Lastly, we have placed a new focus on our prep basketball program."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Our school has established partnerships with local community members and organizations to offer students real-world experiences and perspectives that enhance their understanding of different cultures and communities. This includes workshops and guest speakers who specialize in various areas, providing our students and staff with valuable insights and learning opportunities.

We’ve also emphasized professional development for our faculty, implementing regular training sessions that focus on the latest educational strategies and Waldorf methodologies. This ensures that our teachers are equipped to provide the best possible education to our students, staying true to our core values while adapting to new educational trends."

    Array

How will your school change in the next 5 years?

    ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

"We are excited to announce that as of the fall of 2024, we are adding a new 50,000 sq. ft. building right next door at 6745 Century Avenue which will house our high school (Grade 9-12) students. This new facility will include a new Science Lab, Cafeteria, Music Room and Performing Arts Studio. This change will also free up needed space and make life more comfortable for our JK-Grade 8 students at our main location on Torquay Mews. We are excited to announce that as of Fall 2024 we will have renovated our Athletics Dome into the best basketball facility in Southern Ontario. It will have three separate basketball courts that can be used for various other applications as well, along with flexible seating for up to 450 spectators. We felt this was a fitting investment for our growing Athletics program and the best prep basketball program in Ontario. Lastly, as of the summer of 2024, we will be unveiling a complete refresh of our logo, corporate image and website."

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

"Recently, in collaboration with the BC Collective of Waldorf Schools, we have implemented a revised literacy assessment program to better gather data and improve instruction, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our students. Additionally, we have introduced ‘calm-and-reset’ spaces within each classroom, along with a central student reset space, to support students who may become disregulated during the school day.

Over the next five years and beyond, Vancouver Waldorf School plans to enhance its high school program and undertake significant infrastructure improvements across all our facilities. These enhancements, combined with the future focus on expanding our campuses, will ensure that our students continue to receive a rich, well-rounded education in a refreshed and supportive environment."

  • SCHOOL LEADERSHIP

    Message from school leadership

    Message from school leadership

St. Jude's Academy is distinctive due to the weight we place on achieving fluency in language and effectiveness in numeracy; we instil in all our students a firm practical, cultural and artistic framework which reinforces all academic studies. Our students have confidence to express themselves effectively in both their public and private lives. I encourage parents to come check out our school and see the difference a caring atmosphere can make.

At Vancouver Waldorf School, our commitment to nurturing the whole child is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in an education that goes beyond academics, fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility. Our approach is rooted in the Waldorf philosophy, which emphasizes the development of the head, heart, and hands, ensuring that our students grow into well-rounded, thoughtful, and resilient individuals.

As Principal, I am proud to lead a community that values each child’s unique journey. We strive to create an environment where students feel supported and inspired to explore their passions, engage deeply with their learning, and develop the skills they need to navigate the complexities of the world with confidence and compassion.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an enriching and balanced education that prepares students for meaningful lives. Whether through our innovative curriculum, our strong emphasis on the arts, or our commitment to community and environmental stewardship, we aim to cultivate a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

We welcome families who share our values and are looking for an educational experience that is as enriching as it is transformative. Together, we can help each child reach their fullest potential.

      Our Take: primary curriculum type

      Our Take: primary curriculum type

      ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

Progressive (sometimes called "in- quiry-based") curricula attempt to place children's interests and ideas at the heart of the learning experience. Instead of lessons being driven by predetermined pathways, progressive curricula are often "emergent", with learning activities shaped by students' questions about the world. Instead of starting with academic concepts and then tying it to everyday experience, progressive methods begin with everyday experience and work back to an academic lesson. Teachers provide materials, experiences, tools and resources to help students investigate a topic or issue. Students are encouraged to explore, reflect on their findings, and discuss answers or solutions.

      VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

Waldorf schools are available from preschool to Grade 12, though they are most popular at the younger ages. Waldorf schools are unmistakably "progressive". Rudolf Steiner, their intellectual forefather, believed the educator's first task should be to help students develop an aesthetic appreciation for life and learning. Sometimes incorrectly conflated with Montessori schools, Waldorf schools focus on developing the "whole child" - emphasizing collaborative, hands-on learning, along with the arts and music, which are integrated into other areas of study.

      Our Take: secondary curriculum type

      Our Take: secondary curriculum type

      ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

Some private schools offer International Baccalaureate (IB) programming. The "Diploma Programme" is offered to students in the final two years of high school, while the "Primary Years Programme" (ages 3 to 12) and "Middle Years Programme" (ages 11 to 16) serve as preparation for the diploma program.

What the school says about their curriculum

What the school says about their curriculum

      ST. JUDE'S ACADEMY

The aim of all International Baccalaureate Programmes is to develop "inquiring, knowledgeable and caring" internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

      VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

Using the Waldorf curriculum, Vancouver Waldorf School transforms education into an art that nurtures the whole child—head, heart, and hands. Our teachers introduce skills, subjects, and concepts in alignment with the child’s physiological, emotional, and spiritual development, ensuring that learning is meaningful and relevant. A multi-sensory approach integrates the arts into every subject, engaging students fully in the learning process rather than focusing solely on intellectual information. In the high school, the curriculum emphasizes the development of creative and independent thinking, with all subjects drawing on students’ capacities for analytical thought and judgment. At SJA, we believe that the best learning in mathematics comes from creative exploration. However, we still see the value in some traditional approaches in math. We ensure that the most useful traditional methods are carried forward into our discovery model. With this blended model, we have seen the greatest increase in mathematical ability and retention. For our Lower School math curriculum, we use Math Makes Sense workbooks and textbooks. We effectively combine an inquiry approach with a practical approach. Our students memorize addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts as required by their grade-level specific math curriculum.

        VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

At Vancouver Waldorf School, mathematics is taught through a blend of creative thinking and practical application. Early education focuses on developing a strong foundation in basic arithmetic through rhythmical activities and hands-on experiences, such as counting games and movement-based learning. As students progress, they engage with more abstract concepts through real-world applications, such as geometry through art or algebra in relation to music. This approach ensures that students not only understand mathematical concepts but also see their relevance and beauty in the world around them.

Early reading at Vancouver Waldorf School is introduced gradually, respecting each child’s developmental readiness. Stories, songs, and oral storytelling play a significant role in building language skills before formal reading instruction begins. The introduction of letters is often linked to images, stories, and movement, helping children connect with the symbolic meaning of written language. This method fosters a deep love for reading and a solid foundation in literacy.

Writing is also connected to storytelling, allowing students to express themselves creatively while mastering the technical aspects of writing. This approach emphasizes the beauty of written language and its role as a powerful tool for communication.

Inquiry-based science emphasizes teaching science as a way of thinking or practice, and therefore tries to get students “doing” science as much as possible -- and not just “learning” it. Students still learn foundational scientific ideas and content (and build on this knowledge progressively); however, relative to expository science instruction, inquiry-based programs have students spend more time developing and executing their own experiments (empirical and theoretical). Students are frequently challenged to develop critical and scientific-thinking skills by developing their own well-reasoned hypothesis and finding ways to test those hypotheses. Projects and experiments are emphasized over textbook learning. Skills are emphasized over breadth of knowledge.

        VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

Science education at Vancouver Waldorf School is rooted in observation and experiential learning. In the early grades, students explore the natural world through hands-on activities, nature walks, and gardening. As they advance, the curriculum introduces more structured scientific inquiry, encouraging students to observe, experiment, and draw conclusions. The approach is interdisciplinary, often linking science with arts and humanities, fostering a holistic understanding of the world.

Computers are used in the classroom from time to time, but integrating technology into everything students do is not a dominant focus. Digital literacy is understood to be a legitimate skill in the 21st century, but not one that should distract from teaching the subject at hand, or more fundamental skills and literacies. The idea is today’s students, being “digital natives”, are likely exposed to computers and new media enough outside the classroom: the role of the school, rather, should be to develop competencies that may otherwise get missed.

While the early grades focus on hands-on, experiential learning without screens, technology is gradually introduced into the curriculum in the upper grades through a Cyber Civics course. Technology (e.g. desktop and laptops) is only used as a learning tool more prominently in high school. This ensures that students develop essential digital literacy skills while maintaining a balanced and healthy approach to technology use.

      VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

If you want to learn more about Waldorf education, check out our comprehensive guide.

      VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

We believe that creative thinking finds its expression in imaginative free play and in this way children develop cognitive, social, physical and linguistic skills for life. We strive to present the children with a world of beauty that nurtures their sense of ease, joy, and peace. The children are not introduced to any formal learning at this stage, rather the children engage in artistic activities such as drawing, painting, sewing, and baking. Each day also incorporates outside play time and a healthy snack, as well as a circle time which is rich with seasonal stories and movement games.

Welcome! We are delighted that you are considering St. Jude’s Academy. This application package is an integral part of our admissions process. Please be assured that none of the questions are intended to prevent students from being invited to attend our school. We are trying to gain as much information about students and their families as possible so that all parties involved have a solid foundation for a rich and engaging personal interview. We admit students for the following September on a continuous basis throughout the year. Admission to St. Jude’s Academy is competitive; thus, to avoid disappointment, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

    VANCOUVER WALDORF SCHOOL

At Vancouver Waldorf School, we seek students who are naturally curious, creative, and open-minded. Ideal candidates are those who thrive in a learning environment that emphasizes holistic development—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. We look for students who demonstrate a willingness to engage deeply with their learning, explore new ideas, and express themselves through both academic and artistic pursuits. To achieve success at our school, students should be resilient, adaptable, and eager to participate in a collaborative community. They should possess a strong sense of empathy and respect for others, as our school values cooperation, mutual support, and social responsibility. A readiness to engage in hands-on, experiential learning and a willingness to explore a wide range of subjects, including the arts, are also important attributes. While academic performance is valued, we place equal importance on a student’s enthusiasm for learning and personal growth. Students who align with our values and who are excited about the opportunity to develop their unique potential within a nurturing and balanced educational environment will thrive at Vancouver Waldorf School.

    • STEP 1: THE TOUR

We begin with a personalized information session, offering an in-depth understanding of our IB Programme and Student Life. Subsequent to this session, we extend an invitation for you to embark on a personalized tour of our St. Jude’s Academy campus – you will be able to experience our classrooms in session, engage with our dedicated teachers, and ask questions.

We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you to the St. Jude’s Academy family!

    • STEP 2: THE ASSESSMENT

For students in Grades 1 to 8, applicants complete one day of assessments in reading, writing and math, to give us a better understanding of their strengths and opportunities.

We also ask for the following:

      1. For Upper School students (Grades 9 to 12): English, Science or Social Studies teacher reference

THIS FORM is to be completed by the student’s current English, Science or Social Studies teacher.

      2. For Upper School students (Grades 9 to 12): Math teacher reference

THIS FORM is to be completed by the student’s current Math teacher.

      3. Report Cards for SK – Grade 8

Please scan (or take clear pictures with your phone) the two most recent Report Cards for your child.

    • During the summer, as schools are closed, Teacher References are not required for new registrations for the September 2024 start date. We will be reviewing report cards to assess suitability for our academic program

    • Upper School (Grades 9 to 12) students’ Teacher Reference forms must be submitted from the teachers to the Admissions Office email ([email protected]) directly. Please submit supporting documents by emailing them to our Admissions Team at [email protected].

    • STEP 3: THE DECISION

Admission decisions are made based on a careful review of the applicant’s report cards, academic potential, extracurricular accomplishments, character and overall suitability for the IB St. Jude’s Academy experience.

Please let us know if your child has any academic, social or behavioural concerns. Learning support is available. Our Guidance Counsellor continues to assess student cases as needed.

    • STEP 4: THE FINAL STEP - REGISTRATION FORMS

Once your Report Cards are assessed, and we believe that your child would be a good fit for St. Jude’s Academy, we will invite you to complete and submit our Registration Package electronically. This package is available on our website by grade on our Tuition and Fees page, linked below, and or will be sent to you on completion of the Information Session.
