As this is an online school, all student intereactions were online. Nothing really stood out to me about any student intereaction. There was no student body atmosphere. However they focused a lot on the individual student themselves and the best experiance they can provide them. Everyone I know who signed up for online school is focused on teaching themselves the material, and just getting their credit without any other distractions. They aren't there to socialize and trying to interact with people they do not know, especially on the internet. I think Ontario Online Schools is doing great by making things sweet, and simple without forcing unneccessary communication between the students who enroll.

Ontario Online Schools accepts students from all walks of life. I never once felt like an outsider. Regardless of my gender, race, or ethnic background, I always felt welcomed. As a whole, the students that attend OOS are respectful and polite towards to each other. I was able to communicate with other students without a sense of competitiveness or hostility. I had no difficulty when I had to complete group projects or engage in group discussions. Every student at OOS is eager and willing to learn. Not only do the teachers ensure that students goals are met, but students help as well. I have created friendships with some of my fellow classmates and we are still in contact to this day, even after completing my course.

The general atmosphere of the student body was supportive and welcoming like the school. Although relatively small, you get to know everyone better and get an idea of who you are working with. Students typically are hardworking and determined to learn. Many are eager for new lessons to be posted and would sometimes work ahead. Responsibility and teamwork garnered a lot of respect from not only other students, but teachers. Students constantly shared values of empathy and a strong work ethic. In classes like Social Justice students knew the responsibility of fighting for justice in society and were not shy to share their opinions. Many of the students come from similar backgrounds and were able to share common interests which made it easy to interact and get along with.
