For the first time in our school history, we recently organized a math competition. The students were both excited and nervous as they gathered in the Trinity Hall for this "battle of the mind"!
We launched this special activity to stimulate the students's curiosity and problem resolution skills as ways to enrich their journey to learning in this so rich domaine of knowledge. They had to put forward diverse strategies (geometry, algebra, deduction, etc.) to solve questions relevant to their daily lives. The scoring system was based on the difficulty level of each question.
Our 7 finalists received a certificate acknowledging their participation, and prizes were given to our two top winners, Lincoln and Kassandra. We know this initiative will inspire the students to develop their skills in problem solving, and create a spirit of healthy competitive camaraderie in our school. We are already contemplating the 2.0 edition!
Congratulations to all the participants and finalists! We are proud of you!
