On September 30th, 2015, TIA participated in the National School Terry Fox Run, which is a non-competitive event that aims to raise money for cancer research in Terry’s name. Since TIA believes that extracurricular activities are just as important to students overall development as academics, all staff and students were kindly asked to volunteer their time and effort. With the help of TIA’s student-run Events Committee, and some very enthusiastic participants, students were able to reach their target goal for the event. The day of the run proved to be a beautiful one weather wise, with a comfortable temperature, and blue skies. The students were happy for a chance to get outside and get active, so even after the run, students finished off the day with a few games of soccer. And what’s better than working together towards achieving a common goal for a great cause, all while having a little bit of fun along the way?
