CGS is in a great residential neighbourhood. Children often go on field trips, particularly for gym as the facilities at the school are limited due to its small size. The only downside to the current location is the construction along Eglinton!
Given the age of the kids, they do not venture outside of the school, aside from when they go across the street to the high school to use their field. Leaside is a community full of families and is quite a nice neighbourhood.
The school is located in a safe and nice neighbourhood. The construction of the subway line might have an impact on the local traffic. The school ensures that the morning drop off and afternoon pick up is as smooth as possible. There are usually teachers and staffs available on the roadside to facilitate morning drop off. The annual CGS terry fox walk usually takes place in the nearby neighbourhood.
The school is located in the Toronto neighborhood of Leaside. It's very accessible, right off of Eglinton Avenue, just East of Bayview Avenue. The school has its own parking lot as well as plenty of side street parking. It backs on to a lovely and quiet residential neighbourhood. The older grades regularly make use of the nearby parks and high school grounds for various activities. Because the school only goes to Grade 3 the students are always accompanied by teachers when leaving the grounds.
