Students will learn and practice critical reading strategies and share their opinions about the book with a community of readers in a fun and engaging online environment. 

In this program, students will: 

  • establish personal reading goals and strategies for achieving them 
  • learn and practice ‘good reader strategies’ 
  • share their opinions and ideas about the texts through discussions, writing activities, and creative responses 
  • engage in interactive games and activities to extend and deepen their understanding of the book

We offer Junior Book Club (grades 4-6), Intermediate Book Club (grades 7-8) and Senior Book Club (grades 9-10). Please see our summer schedule for the full list of dates and times.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Curiosity: Instilling a love of reading in students fosters curiosity about the world around them.
  • Creativity: A love of reading expands students' imagination and increases creative thinking.
