Find a Camp
8 children of different ages, genders, backgrounds and skill levels came together and had an amazing day full of fun!
We started the day with some icebreakers and games to get everyone out of their shell. Then, we started in on some architecture by building bridges with K'nex and even got to put them all together making a super-structure! Then it was on to some computer coding on iPads. The kids worked in groups of 2 to create their own characters and code different options.
Then after a body break including games and Beyblades we started in on LEGO robotics! the campers were able to build their own functioning robots with their own spin on the appearance!
Then it was science time! We did an experiment looking into the effects of contact lens solution on white glue. We made ooey gooey slime and made it our own by adding in glitter, sparkles and confetti!
It's hard to believe bu all of that was before lunch! Pizza was delivered at noon and the kids had just over an hour to eat and have some play time before getting started on their next activities!
There was colouring, Pixel art, a movie and fun for the rest of the day! Some of the campers didn't want to leave at the end of the day and we can't blame them!
