On April 10, 2019, 109 swimmers from across the province of Ontario competed for the top 50 phase one spots for Team Ontario. The Olympium Synchronized Swimming Club (OSSC) is proudly sending five girls into phase 2 of the 11/12 Provincial Team Trials including Heather Haugh, Lauren Smith, Jessica Moran, Ria Somaia & Madeline Delazzari.
The top ten athletes will be the 11-12 High Performance “HP” Team and will compete at the 2019 SYNC Invitational in Gatineau, Quebec, and then will also compete at the 2019 UANA Championships (Windsor, ON) - these Championships are Junior Panamerican Games that will see our Ontario team matching up against teams from all across the Americas. The next 10 athletes will comprise the Development Team and will train towards the 2019 SYNC Invitational.
Our OSSC girls have shown consistent strides in achieving their goals. Their team coach Lola Snayder Mazour shared, “Hard work pays off.” Congratulations to all of them from OSSC - we wish them all the best as they continue training for the next phase.
