Early-bird Registration Now OPEN!

Let the 2019 camp adventure begin! Registration for Camp Davern is now open and the summer ahead is an exciting one.

Certainly Davern kids are still talking about their adventures and are looking forward to returning to camp next summer. With registration now open, for the next month, Davern will be offering our early bird incentive as a way to encourage families to register before the new year.

What is Early Registration?
From today until December 14th, we're offering $100 off a traditional camp session and $50 off a single week session. With full fees not due until the spring, all that's required is your registration and deposit in order to take advantage of the savings.

How to Register?
Registration is simple and straight forward. For returning families, just sign into your account at this LINK! Otherwise, simply create a Camp Brain account and the rest is easy!

What's New For 2019?
Heading into next summer, we have some things we are excited to share:

1. Our traditional sessions are now 10 days long!
From feedback throughout the summer, we're trying something new in the world of camping. Single week sessions have become more popular across the province in the last few years but are often felt to be too short a timeframe. Davern is excited to be replacing our two weeks sessions with a 10 day model for the summer ahead. For any child interesting in staying longer, an additional incentive is being offered for 2 consecutive sessions. For all families still interested in single weeks, they are available throughout the summer as well. We don't want to rock the boat, but do want to encourage longer stays.

2. New campfire and seating area
While we love our central fire pit beside the dining hall, during some of our weeks last year, we enjoyed fires by the water. We are now busy in the design of a space for a campfire at the lake. While we are still working through seating and the performance area, we are certain this new area will be a welcome addition for everyone!

3. Program area expansion
In 2019, we're going to "step up" some of our program options. We are looking to centralize athletics and will be creating a few more field sport programs. In addition, we are excited to welcome two new outdoor ping pong tables to main camp.

4. Kitchen Reno
We are excited to be adding a new grill and stove to the Davern Family as we make upgrades and improvements to the kitchen and food service at camp. While this one might not be as exciting, it's going to be a big improvement for camp.

It was a busy fall of clean up and close up, but Davern is ready to go for 2019. In order to stay connected throughout the winter, be sure to keep your eye on Davern's Facebook, as regular updates, info and videos will be posted frequently.
