Skies Above. Ground Below. Discovery Everywhere in Between!

While it might be hard to believe that summer is coming, Pioneer Camp Alberta has been thinking about Summer Camp 2020 since September! They've been planning and organizing for months now and are excitedly looking forward to the time when campers join them in July. With that in mind, they want to invite you to a Summer of Discovery!

Early Bird Registration: Registration has been open since November and many parents have taken advantage of planning their summers and registering early for the summer camp season. They've also been taking advantage of Pioneer's Early Bird Registration Discount specials, saving between $25-$100 per camp session.

Early Bird Registration runs until January 31st. (Use Discount Code Early20)

Location: Pioneer Camp Alberta is one camp with two great locations! Pioneer Ranch (Rocky Mountain House) was started in 1951, and Pioneer Lodge (Sundre) was started in 1968. (These sites are approximately 110 km apart from one another.)

Session Options: Pioneer Alberta runs day camp & overnight programs throughout the summer for ages 5-19. These programs include leadership camps, camps that focus on specific skills tracks, junior campsteen campsgirls and boys campsFamily Camp and more!

The two sites focus on different age groups:

  • Pioneer Lodge: ages 5-11, focuses on confidence building
  • Pioneer Ranch: ages 12-19, focuses on skills development and leadership

A Day In the Life: Wondering about what happens at one of Pioneer's camp sessions? Visit their Sample Schedules to get a glimpse into what your child could experience as part of their summer this year. With the exception of Discovery sessions, each session has an overnight camp-out component to it. Whether it's for one night or for a more extended period of 4-5 days, it's a memory-making part of the camper experience!

Horses, Horses, Horses: All camp sessions have a horse component to them, with some being more horse-focused than others. Check out Horsemanship Skills Session 1 or Session 2 for ages 10-11, Jr. Skills Zao Ride Track for ages 12-15 or  Sr. Skills Shefa Ride Track for  ages 14-17. There's also the Sr. Girls or Sr. Boys Ride Out-Trips for ages 13-17.
