Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to contribute to or attend our 65th Anniversary Fundraiser. The event was a big success, filled with tasty desserts, beautiful music, and stories which spanned the generations. I was in awe of the support.
In 1955 Emerson McDowell took a group of kids from his congregation up to the Old Barn, which still exists on the FLC property with the aim of having inner city children the chance to experience nature and build friendships. Shortly after the "Camping with a Purpose" slogan was adopted. Many things have changed in 65 years, but in my opinion the purpose has remained the same. Thank you FLC!
