Using different activity and participant interest, the Youth Program focuses on social skill development. Participants will engage in a series of new activities and get to focus at different times on activities with which they have specific interest. Staff facilitators will approach opportunities for social skill development using the PEERS curriculum.
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Interpersonal skills: Children participating in this program will expand their interpersonal skill set by interacting with both, children their own age and the adult facilitators. They will be participating in team and individual based activities that will allow children to explore their group in a virtual medium.
Self-regulation: During this program, children will have the opportunity to practice self regulation while interacting with other members of their virtual group. Activities will be often be team based and will require cooperation and communication.
