The 2020/21 Experience at Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen's University
Enrichment Studies is currently planning for two outcomes during our sessions in 2021.
1. Deliver in-person programs as permitted by Public Health recommendations and University administration.
2. Deliver all virtual University experience programs throughout 2021.
We’ve introduced a registration and programming schedule unique to 2021. We have moved our spring enrichment programs that would take place during the elementary and secondary school year to the summer. This gives even more time for the realities of the pandemic’s affect on our operations to become clear.
With more time, comes more opportunity for the Queen’s University leadership team to deem our campus environment ready to welcome secondary and elementary students into the community. Included in this plan is a virtual program taking place the same weeks our in-person programs would run. This means if you register for an in-person program and it turns out that the program cannot safely run, there will be a corresponding virtual Queen’s University experience and virtual learning waiting for our eager students that same week.
The unique and empowering experiences of being on campus and learning within the Queen’s community in these programs can be life-changing and we will do all we can to keep these virtual experiences true to that goal.

Thank-you for your wonderful program! You have shown my students that there is a big world out there and they have a chance to go out and grab it!
After our oldest son returned from Queens, he was full of enthusiasm and determination. No longer was attending university simply a vague idea, it became a concrete goal and one that he was determined to realize.
My current career is a direct result of the mini enrichment experience I indulged in SEEDS at Queens University one decade ago.
I love the opportunity Queens gives me to expand my horizons and better understand myself and where I want to go after high school. EMC has really helped to quell my fears of tackling post-secondary education, and I find myself looking forward to my university life more than ever
I have Queens to thank for lifelong friendships, helping me decide what I want to do with my life, and giving me a home away from home. I plan to apply for Queens when Im applying for post-secondary.
