This CIT program offers leadership candidates the chance to be trained in initiative tasks, communications skills, and higher specialized program skills such as canoeing, archery, fishing and orienteering. Candidates will get come practice leading groups and teaching a program. They will receive a written evaluation and feedback. All this while still having the fun experience of being at a camp.
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Responsibility: Learning the responsibility associated with caring for younger children. Develop and awareness of the relationship between behaviour and action. Willingness to take ownership of the consequences both good and bad.
Independence: Ability and willingness to do things on one's own. Develop initiative, self motivation and decisiveness.
